Beijing artist Yang Yang developed a love of plants and botanical gardens when she was a little girl. She once frequented botanical gardens with her father, a painter who went there to get inspiration for his art.
Her interest in botany has continued for decades, culminating in two picture books for children which she recently launched.
Yang views the two science fiction books, published by CITIC Press Group, as a way to share with younger readers her passion for plants while also evoking their interest in science.
