BEIJING -- Chinese authorities have issued a notice to promote the spirit of combating the COVID-19 epidemic among all students nationwide as the fall semester begins.
The spirit, featuring putting people's lives first, nationwide solidarity, sacrifice, respecting science, and a sense of mission for humanity, was forged in the anti-epidemic battle involving 1.4 billion Chinese people, says the document jointly released by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Ministry of Education.
The document also notes that the promotion of the spirit can be incorporated into various activities including speech contests, writing contests, seminars, and field visits.
