BEIJING -- Chinese railway police seized 2,469 kg of narcotics and captured 2,123 persons suspected of drug-related crimes since June 2019, according to official figures on Friday.
Railway police across the country maintained a tough stance against drug-related crimes, stepped up efforts to spot suspicious passengers and activities at major railway stations, and increased checks in key passenger and freight trains, said the Ministry of Public Security's railway bureau.
While sharing intelligence inside the railway police system, Chinese railway police strengthened cooperation with other public security and law enforcement agencies amid efforts to combat drug-related crimes, the bureau said.
