Beijing continues round of COVID-19 testing

Beijing municipal authorities announced on Monday that up to 76,499 persons in the city received nucleic acid testing on Sunday, and 59 have tested positive.
Gao Xiaojun, spokesman for the Beijing Health Commission, said at a press conference the city has organized hospitals and medical institutions to offer nucleic acid testing to people who have had contact with the Xinfadi wholesale market.
Among the 59 positive results, 27 are confirmed patients, 21 are newly added cases and the remaining 11 are waiting for further diagnosis.
