China to increase basic pension for retirees

BEIJING -- China will increase the basic pension for retirees and the minimum basic old-age pension for rural and non-working urban residents, according to a government work report submitted to the national legislature for deliberation on Friday.
China will ensure the payments of pension fund on time and in full to nearly 300 million people, the report said.
