Shenzhen company OK'd for virus test material

Shenzhen biotech company HaploX became the third corporation from the city recently, after BGI and Mindray, to be approved by the central government to produce and export a key reagent for coronavirus testing.

According to the latest list of companies approved by the Ministry of Commerce, HaploX can produce and export three products, including a COVID-19 test reagent, its extracting solution and a colloidal gold antibody testing product. 

The company said the products have obtained certifications from the European Union and meet all export criteria. Their accuracy in testing and their convenience in use were other reasons they were given a green light by the authorities.
