WHO says global COVID-19 tolls over 100,000

GENEVA - The latest data from the World Health Organization (WHO) showed Sunday that COVID-19 has caused more than 100,000 deaths globally.

As of 2:00 am CEST (0000 GMT) on Sunday, there have been 1,654,247 confirmed cases of COVID-19 globally, including 102,193 deaths, according to WHO.

By WHO regions, Europe has recorded the largest number of 839,257 confirmed cases, followed by Americas of 573,940, Western Pacific of 120,116, Easter Mediterranean of 95,945, South-East Asia of 14,549 and Africa of 9,728.
