During Sunday's COVID-19 briefing session in the UK, Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government Robert Jenrick announced that strategic coordination centers will be set up across the country, led by "gold commanders" from the emergency services.
He also said the national supply distribution response team will be responsible for the provision of personal protective equipment to NHS trusts and healthcare settings. Dr Jenny Harris, the deputy chief medical officer for England, also said the government will review the nation's lock-down measures in three weeks.
