First People's Hospital of Chenzhou City in Hunan province has used 3D printing technology to create a model of lungs infected with the novel coronavirus to guide medical treatment..
The hospital's 3D medical printing center said the model is based on image data from a patient infected with COVID-19.
"The three-dimensional model is like a real one. It enables doctors to observe in detail parts of a patient's lungs, such as arteries, veins and bronchial tubes," said He Yucheng, director of the center.
