Many of the expat members have not been able to leave Guangzhou because of travel restrictions and their visa issues have been handled well, Seyedin said.
Between Jan 22 and Wednesday, the Division of Exit and Entry Administration of the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau processed 1,746 visa applications from foreigners, according to Chen Wenhong, deputy chief of the division.
Arafat Al-Harahsheh, chairman of the Arab Business Forum in China, said his organization's work is resuming and many of its members are preparing to return to Guangzhou.

Surovtseva Kseniia, a student from Russia, has mostly stayed on the campus of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies during the epidemic, but is aware of the measures taken in Guangzhou.
She has followed the updates on the epidemic in China and shared them with her family and friends back in Russia.
"I believe that China can provide the most valuable experience in the control and medical treatment to the world," she said.
