Rumor: Huang Yanling, a postgraduate of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a subsidiary of Chinese Academy of Sciences, was the first patient to contract the novel coronavirus pneumonia in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province.
Fact:
The Wuhan Institute of Virology said in a statement that Huang graduated with a master's degree from the institute in 2015. Since graduation, she has been working and living in other provinces and has never been infected with novel coronavirus and is in good health.
