Students to enjoy full refunds on air tickets
Students who will travel on domestic flights departing before midnight March 31 and booked tickets no later than midnight Feb 10 can enjoy a full refund or change their tickets with no fees amid the battle against novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP), according to the website of the Civil Aviation Administration of China on Monday.
In an announcement on the website, the administration stipulated that airlines or ticket agencies are not allowed to charge student travelers for requesting a refund or changing the tickets before midnight March 31. Students are supposed to present their student ID card and refund or change request before the departure date.
Universities nationwide have rescheduled their new semester dates due to the NCP outbreak to avoid the possible spread of the virus as students return from their hometowns. The time period for ticket refunds and changes for students may be extended based on the epidemic control development.
