Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, has temporarily forbidden people without local household registration or temporary residence registration to enter the city to contain the spreading of the novel coronavirus.

Wuxi government issued a notice on Friday that people without a local hukou or temporary residence registration should postpone their travel to the city for the time being.

It also regulated that employees of the companies that have not passed the disease control checks cannot go back to the city.

All employees from the epicenters of the virus outbreak and their neighboring areas, including Hubei, Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces, will not be allowed to enter the city at the moment, it said.
