"Xi's remarks illustrate a high degree of confidence in 'one country, two systems' embodied in Macao, which maintains and propels Macao's stability and prosperity. Meanwhile the 20 years of accomplishments in Macao since its return to the motherland were highly recognized by the central government as the city plays an essential role in integrating into national development and seeking new growth," said Guo Wanda, executive vice-president of China Development Institute.
