"China is vast and abundant in natural resources. The country is rich in culture which varies from one place to another. I know if I want to know this country better, one tour is not enough," he said, adding he visited Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong during his first trip to China.

Alexandros began learning Chinese at the Confucius School in Athens in 2013. He got his master's degree at the National Technical University of Athens, and came to Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, Hubei province, in 2014 to study Chinese. He also pursued a master's degree in software engineering at the university from 2016 to 2019.

"When I took the interview with Xiaomi Corp, I talked about my failed project (for a hiring website) which I started during my senior year of my university study. The company didn't doubt my ability, and instead they valued my experience," he said, adding the orientations of Xiaomi Corp meet with his.

"I bought Xiaomi phones for my parents in Greece and now they are big fans of the smart phones," said Alexandros.
