Hong Kong society has been pushed to the brink of a total breakdown as rioters went on a rampage in residential neighborhoods and university campuses.
In the most alarming incident, rioters threw chairs and traffic cones from a footbridge onto moving vehicles underneath, hitting the feet of an innocent motorbike driver. It was clearly a murderous act that could have killed the poor driver, according to Kong Wing-cheung, senior superintendent of the Police Public Relations Branch in Hong Kong on Tuesday.
