Former senior provincial legislator arrested for bribery

BEIJING -- Xiang Lili, a former senior legislator of Central China's Hunan province, has been arrested for allegedly taking bribes, said a statement from the Supreme People's Procuratorate Monday.
Xiang's case was transferred to procurators for investigation and prosecution after an investigation by the National Supervisory Commission was concluded, according to the statement.
The handling of the case is still underway.
