Jilin province senior official under investigation
Jilin province senior official Yang Keqin is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission for suspected severe violations of discipline and law, according to an official statement on Wednesday.
Yang, born in 1957 in Anhui province, is the Party chief and chief procurator of Jilin Provincial People's Procuratorate.
Having graduated with a master's degree in management, he joined the Communist Party of China in 1977 and from 1980 worked as a cadre in the provincial political and legal committee.
In 1994 he started positions in the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission and became director of the commission's political and legal research institute in 2004.
Yang began serving as the Party chief and chief procurator of Jilin Provincial People's Procuratorate in 2012.
