85-year-old woman inspires with travel around the world
Her European trip in 2015 didn't disappoint.
"I was fascinated by the ancient architecture and also inspired by those seniors who leisurely drank coffee at the street corner," she said. "But at the same time, I had attracted lots of attention because of my obviously old age among the tour group members."
After coming back from Thailand two months ago, she often felt a pain in her left leg and after an examination at the Fourth Affiliated University of Harbin Medical University, she was told she needed a vascular stent operation immediately.
"I told my children that they didn't have to come here and signed the informed consent form for the operation myself," she said. "I am the master of my body and I trust the doctors."
Now Wei has already made new plan for after recovery.
"I hope I can take a cruise, which I have never experienced," she said. "Every period of life has its own beauty. Even though I am old, I can still have my own colorful world."
