Taiwan woos tourists to cool off in summer in theme parks

Several theme parks across Taiwan on Monday announced summer programs to attract visitors.

These programs are mostly water activities but also include carnivals, ecological walks and all sorts of nighttime parties, according to a joint press conference held in Taipei.

Many theme parks also offer summer discounts.

Theme parks have become a key tourist attraction in Taiwan, logging over 10 million visits every year, according to the island's tourism authorities.
