Chief justice stresses better judicial service for Xiongan New Area
SHIJIAZHUANG - China's chief justice on Wednesday stressed providing powerful judicial services for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and the building of the Xiongan New Area.
Courts in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei should deepen the integration of judicial cooperation, so as to push forward all-round reform and opening-up in the region, said Zhou Qiang, president of the Supreme People's Court, at a Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei judicial forum.
Zhou called for efforts to innovate judicial concepts, support pilot projects of judicial innovation, and establish a more convenient and efficient institutional mechanism to meet the needs of Xiongan New Area.
Xiongan New Area, covering Xiongxian, Rongcheng and Anxin counties in Hebei province, is about 100 km south of Beijing, and a new area of "national significance" following the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and Shanghai Pudong New Area.
