Beijing subway workers trained to stop misbehavior
China's capital Beijing has completed the training of 3,420 subway attendants who work to discourage passengers from misbehavior including eating, playing music out loud and irregularly occupying seats, announced the authority on Thursday.
Wang Yuwei, head of the security department of the Beijing Subway, said on Thursday that the attendants have started this work for one week in eight subway lines.
In the previous week, they found seven cases of eating and three cases of irregular seat occupation, Wang said.
According to a report by Beijing Youth Daily, the first group of subway attendants started working in June 2017. By then, their main task was to stop begging and illegal business promotion on subways.
If the attendants fail to stop severe misbehavior, they will hand it over to the police.
