The second annual Beijing Caribbean Film Take at the Beijing Normal University on April 23 to 24 offered Chinese filmgoers a rare chance get in touch with productions from the Caribbean.

Eight films from the Bahamas, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados were screened at the event. The screenings were part of the 26th annual Beijing College Student Film Festival.

The aim of the event was to improve Chinese understanding of the lifestyle, music, history, fine art, and social economy of these countries.

The opening film of the event was Chinee Girl from Trinidad and Tobago, a documentary which follows 12 local women, who have Chinese blood.
