Performances to mark 20th anniversary of reopening of Forbidden City Concert Hall

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the reopening of the Forbidden City Concert Hall. And from April 21, more than 20 performances will be staged there to mark the event. 

The Beijing Symphony Orchestra, the China Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jingju Theater Company of Beijing and the the North Kunqu Opera Theater are among those who will perform during the celebration. Over the years the hall has provided many talented performers with a stage to showcase their skills. And among then Song Fei, who plays the erhu, a bowed two-stringed instrument. She gave her maiden performance in the Forbidden City Concert Hall at 16. And she says "I am grateful to the hall for offering me opportunities to showcase the works I created in the past two decades."
