Helan stone, produced in the Helan Mountains of Ningxia Hui autonomous region, is considered an ideal material for inkstone because of its natural color and medium hardness.
Meng Xiaofan, born in 1990s, fell in love with the stone and developed a hobby of making inkstones in 2017. Watch the video to see how this young woman can turn a plain stone into a delicate inkstone.
