Three hotels close to completion for expo

Three major hotels under construction for the Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition, which will be held from April 29 to Oct 7 next year, will be ready for soft opening in March, organizers said on Wednesday.

During the expo, the three facilities will provide 471 rooms with 748 beds, along with dining facilities for 1,535 guests .

Zhang Lannian, chief engineer of the Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition Coordination Bureau, said the construction of the park is close to completed and that the authority is working on improving service facilities and preparing for the operations.

The expo is expected to attract 16 million visitors from all over the world, according to data from the authority.
