Another AAAA tourist site - Detian Waterfall Scenic Area, was just upgraded to an AAAAA one approved by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China on Monday.

The waterfall scenic area is built on the Chinese part of the Ban Gioc-Detian Falls which straddles the border between China and Vietnam, and is known as the Asia's largest cross-border waterfall.

"The cooperation with the Vietnamese side has been underway to further improve the spectacular tourist site and a greater expectation has been placed on these nationally renowned tourist attractions to better play their role in boosting local economy and poverty alleviation," said Ma Xiaying, deputy director of the tourism of Daxing county.

To celebrate the winning of 5A scenic area title, the Daxing county government and the Party committee announced that the entrance ticket will be free for visitors to the Detian Waterfall scenic area on this weekend.
