Student denied admission over weight stages a comeback

Gong Ziheng always dreamt of studying art in the university; however he was rejected even before he said anything at the interview for the college admission simply because he weighed 92.5 kilograms.

Gong decided to make a comeback by studying and working out hard. The second time he succeeded after he brought his weight down to 57.5 kilos and was enrolled by Guangxi Art Academy, a university known for its fine art and music courses in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

"I wish the overweight people are not discriminated or treated badly. We can change our destiny by changing ourselves," said Gong.
