Li calls for further agricultural cooperation with Albania
China would like to boost cooperation with Albania by exporting its high-quality agricultural goods and building a demonstration center for agricultural machinery, said Premier Li Keqiang after meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama Friday in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.
Li and Rama are to attend the seventh Leaders' Meeting of China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEE) on Saturday along with leaders from the other 15 CEE nations.
Li said China is willing to strengthen cooperation in utilizing water resources, disaster prevention and relief, along with cultural and educational exchanges. China encourages competent domestic companies to invest in Albania and achieve win-win outcomes, he said.
Li said next year will mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries and added that China would like to strengthen alignment of development strategies with the CEE country.
Rama said there is a great potential for China-Albania cooperation. Albania is looking forward to working with China in preparing celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Albania is also ready to deepen cooperation in fields such as agriculture, agricultural machinery, energy, and ports, Rama said. Closer coordination and exchanges should be conducted under the China-CEEC mechanism, he added.
