A forum on Chinese enterprises' going abroad as part of the Belt and Road Initiative was hosted by Hong Kong-based broadcaster Phoenix TV in Beijing on Jan 30.
The event gathered government officials and company executives, among others.
Xia Hongbo, vice-president of Phoenix TV, said that in recent years, there's been a rise in the number of Chinese enterprises going global.
Phoenix TV could help such companies enhance their influence with its resources and global audience, he said.
Agi Veres, country director of the United Nations Development Programme in China, who also attended the forum, introduced a report on Chinese enterprises overseas, which elaborates the development, challenges as well as potential risks for domestic players in overseas markets.
