To enhance deeper Sino-US cultural exchanges and to further promote the Chinese dulcimer (yangqin) overseas, a cooperative music festival, “2018 New York • USA — 1st International Dulcimer Music Festival at Eastman School of Music”, will be held at the prominent Eastman School of music in the US on Jan 29.
Dulcimer musicians from China and abroad will gather together at the event, which features several segments including a competition, lectures on developments and reforms of yangqin, thematic concerts and music exchange seminars.
