Beijing's new scenic tram line tested

BEIJING - Beijing is testing a new tram line connecting landmarks in the west of the city.
The Beijing Bus Group said it has run 13 trams on a 6.1-km section of the line for testing.
The full line is 8.8 km long with a total of six stops. It will be put into service by the end of the year linking the No 10 subway line with Fragrant Hills, the Kunyu River, the Summer Palace and several other sites.
Each tram can carry a maximum of 300 passengers.
