Assadour Markarov, the curator and professor of the China Academy of Art, said the exhibition offered a fresh perspective to interpret history and culture.
"Artists reconstruct the past with visual symbols of their own," he said. "These pieces integrate the history with the present."
The exhibition will last until Sept 25.
