Chinese police crack drug production ring, seize 100 kg ephedrine

NANNING -- Police recently busted a drug production ring, capturing eight suspects and seizing over 100 kg of chemicals used in the production of methamphetamines in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
An investigation was launched after a man from Heshan was suspected of producing drugs on Aug 3, police in the city of Laibin said Thursday.
Police located a drug production facility in Lingnan township and raided the location on Aug 4. Four suspects were caught and 105.73 kg of ephedrine was seized.
Another four suspects were later caught in Laibin.
Further investigation is underway.
