National Fitness Carnival launched in Shenyang

| The first leg of National Fitness Carnival began last weekend in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province. The event, jointly sponsored by Chinese sports journalists' Association, Lei Feng magazine and Liaoning sports bureau, included such activities as softball, tai chi and rope skipping. Around 100,000 participants took part in the event, donating about 300,000 yuan ($44,000) and more than 20,000 books. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn] |
