Set in 2025, the tale penned by scriptwriter Ren Peng fictionalizes that a memory-removal operation has become popular in Asia, allowing people to get rid of the memories that they want to forget.
Ren, the scriptwriter, reveals that the script has been revised more than 100 times.
In addition to Xu, the film directed by Taiwan filmmaker Leste Chen also stars actors Huang Bo and Duan Yihong, and actress Yang Zishan.
