Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak will visit China next week, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang announced on Thursday.

During his week-long visit, starting on Monday, Najib will meet President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the NPC.

Leaders of the two countries will have in-depth exchanges over China-Malaysia ties and issues of common concern, and will attend the signing ceremony of bilateral cooperation documents, according to Lu.

Malaysia is an important cooperative partner and neighbor, and bilateral ties have been developing in a healthy, stable and rapid way, Lu said, adding that bilateral cooperation in trade,

investment and the financial sector has achieved spectacular progress.

This will be Najib's third visit to China since he became Malaysia's prime minister.

"We believe the visit will further enhance mutual trust and deepen the friendliness between the two countries," Lu said.
