BANGKOK - The majority of Thai people are concerned about the ongoing floods which have continued to wreak havoc in many parts of the country, Suan Dusit Poll revealed on Sunday.
The poll was conducted on September 10-17 on 2,187 people throughout the country on what they were most concerned about in the present political, economic and social conditions.
According to the result, 39.16 percent of the responders said they were most worried about flooding situation, 27.27 percent division in Thai society and politicians, 19.93 percent the high cost of living, 9.09 percent vices and drugs, and 4.5 percent the situation in the southern border provinces.
Flooding situation in the country has continued since July 25 and 25 provinces across the country are still facing heavy floods, according to a statement issued by Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department on September 17. Some 1.4 million people have suffered while 102 people were reported dead.
