Transportation to Wuyuan

There is no train station or airport in Wuyuan. But there are many buses that go through the county from nearby cities, such as Jingdezhen and Jiujiang. A high-speed rail from Beijing to Wuyuan is expected to open next year.

The county charges 210 yuan ($34) for a ticket, which includes entrance to 14 tourists spots and is valid for five days. You can also choose to buy a ticket at each spot.

In spring, the weather in Wuyuan changes a lot. Bring extra clothing for warmth and an umbrella, in case it rains.

Wuyuan's villages have many homes that double as comfortable hostels. For an additional 50 yuan a day, the hostel owners can provide you with three meals.

Wuyuan's villages are located at some distance from each other, and the paths usually wind through mountains. The best way to travel is to rent a car or to take a motorbike taxi.

The world-famous "home of Chinese porcelain", Jingdezhen, is just an hour's car ride away from Wuyuan. Several shuttle buses travel between Wuyuan and Jingdezhen every day.
