Main forum of programmers' festival boosts Xi'an's digital economy
Themed around "Connecting Coding with the Future," the 3rd Global Programmers' Festival kicked off in Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone on Oct 24.
The main forum of the event invited experts and scholars, as well as industry leaders from relevant institutions delivered keynote speeches on topics such as network security, financial technology, and digital technology.

Ni Guangnan, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, noted that the layout of China's software industry is very comprehensive, with obvious competitive advantages regarding talents. "Only by independent innovation can we narrow the gap between developed countries in science and technology levels," he said.
Adi Shamir, a Turing Award recipient in 2002, gave a speech themed around the "Security Challenges for the Next Decade." In terms of network security and artificial intelligence, he noted that although the complete solution may not be available in the next decade, both theoretically and practically, he was still very optimistic about their prospects.

In the smart society and digital age, software has become an important support to promoting its continuous development, said Chen Yuhong, chairman and CEO of ChinaSoft International. He added that software has also continuously assisted the transformation of traditional industries and has become a powerful tool to support the digitalization process of enterprises.

The Global Programmers' Festival is an important part of Xi'an efforts to develop into a new starting point and core area of the "Digital Silk Road," opening up a new era of digital economy in Xi'an.
