Summit forum on 5G technology held in Xi'an high-tech zone

The Belt and Road International Cooperation and 5G Technology Summit Forum was held in Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone on Oct 24, which was one of the important parts of the 3rd Global Programmers' Festival.

Nearly 200 people attended the forum, including experts and scholars from home and abroad, ambassadors from various countries, as well as entrepreneurs from around the world.

"It is necessary to build the brand of Xi'an Software Park and establish the image of Xi'an as a hard and core technology capital," said Li Guoqiang, a research fellow of the Development Research Center of the State Council.

Enterprise representatives from Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent, and Microsoft shared their respective experiences around 5G technology, smart cities, industrial internet, network security, smart communication, new retail, smart transportation, video technology, and other fields.

Zhong Hongjiang, member of the standing committee of the Xi'an municipal Party committee, said that Xi'an will further integrate emerging technologies and industries, such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and big data, with a more proactive attitude to accelerate the construction of a new hub for the Digital Silk Road.

During the summit forum, the Belt and Road 5G Technology Innovation Alliance Proposal and the Xi'an Declaration on the Belt and Road 5G Industry Development were also released, providing intellectual and platform support for the development of Xi'an's 5G industry.
