The Shanghai Urban Vegetable Garden, covering an area of 5,000 mu (333 hectares), is a national agricultural tourism demonstration zone and a municipal science popularization and education center.

The garden houses more than 200 varieties of vegetables. Visitors can try their hands at planting, harvesting, cooking, and tasting vegetables in the garden. They can also learn about farming history, vegetable culture, modern planting technology, planting techniques, and the processing of agricultural products.
