Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum
Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum, first launched in 2003, is an annual international intellectual property (IP) event in Shanghai. It has become the most influential IP forum in China and an important avenue for promoting China’s IP industry.
According to a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between Shanghai municipal government and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2014, the two sides have become joint organizers of the forum. From 2014 to 2017, the two parties co-organized four events, with the mayor of Shanghai, the director of the National Intellectual Property Administration, and WIPO leaders in attendance and giving speeches.
