A new judicial interpretations of cases related to food security crime is a good way to fight behaviors that endanger food security, says an article in Beijing Youth Daily. Excerpts:

Food security scandals have been frequently exposed by the media in recent days, and it's a good piece of news that the Supreme Court has published a judicial interpretation about criminal cases related to endangering food security.

According to the judicial interpretation, the number of this kind of case has increased 10-fold compared to three year ago. Thus the new judicial interpretation shows that legal authorities will strictly punish those who endanger food security. Supervisors who neglect their duty should also be punished according to the law. It's supposed to be an effective method to curb the ever-increasing crime rate involving food security. Moreover, as the methods of food security crime become more and more complicated and covert, public participation is crucial to dealing with food security.
