In recent years, with the proposal of the BRI, POWERCHINA has set up overseas agencies in many countries along the Belt and Road, actively promoting and implementing more than a 1,000 projects.

POWERCHINA has implemented many large-scale infrastructure construction and project investments in Africa, contributing to Africa's development and the improvement of local people's lives.

The Adama wind farm in Ethiopia, built by POWERCHINA, is the first overseas wind farm with Chinese Standards and Technology adopted.

At present, POWERCHINA's overseas business has spread all over Asia. It has formed project groups in several countries, covering projects spanning thermal power, hydropower, new energy, and infrastructure construction.

POWERCHINA's overseas business has also spread to Europe and the Americas. The Belgrade ring road project in Serbia is the first project of POWERCHINA in the country.

Since the founding of the People's Republic of China 70 years ago, POWERCHINA has utilized its professional advantages in hydropower, which has brought great economic and social development to the countries where projects are located.

The Bakun Hydropower Station in Malaysia, known as the "Three Gorges" project in Southeast Asia, is the largest hydropower project in Malaysia to date, greatly improving the local power structure.

POWERCHINA also actively organizes various public welfare activities, as well as provides employment and training opportunities for local people where their projects are located.

The company employs more than 70,000 foreign employees each year, which effectively promotes local technology and social sustainable development capabilities.

POWERCHINA will continue to develop its international business environment to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China through its outstanding achievements.
