Over the years, POWERCHINA has focused on deepening reforms, achieving the high quality development of its international business operations, said Yan Zhiyong, president of POWERCHINA.

Strategy leads to great practice

The hydropower station in Guinea built by POWERCHINA in 1964 marked the beginning of POWERCHINA's international business.

Following that project, POWERCHINA began to actively follow the country's diplomatic strategy and assumed a large number of foreign aid project construction tasks.

POWERCHINA has gradually realized industrial diversification and industrial chain extension after the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was put forward in 2013.

In 2016, POWERCHINA International Group was established, injecting more vitality to POWERCHINA's international business development, which was also a strategy upgrading for the company.

Innovative business management

"The company has always adhered to the integration of the company's international business strategy and the country's 'going global' strategy," said Yan Zhiyong.

It has formed its distinctive overseas development model, continuously innovating in the aspects of overseas marketing models, cooperation models, and international business management.

The company is committed to providing customers with comprehensive solutions to problems, utilizing the resources and market advantages of various industries to strengthen innovation in the industrial chain.

At present, POWERCHINA has become the largest contractor of new energy in Latin America. It has also cooperated with 30 companies in more than 10 developed countries such as the United States, Britain, France, and Italy.
