As Sri Lanka's first coal-fired power plant, the Norochcholai coal power plant built by POWERCHINA appeared on the 100 Sri Lankan rupee (0.55) notes. It was also the largest economic and trade cooperation project between China and Sri Lanka at that time.

Alassane Ouattara, president of Cote d'Ivoire, displayed a commemorative stamp bearing the pattern of the Soubre hydropower dam to commemorate the friendship between Cote d'Ivoire and China on Nov 2, 2017, as well as the cooperation between the two countries in economic construction and cultural development.

Uganda issued commemorative stamps for the Isimba Hydroelectric Power Station on March 21 to celebrate the official launch of the power station, which was built by POWERCHINA.

The Nepal Electricity Authority used the Upper Marsyangdi A Hydropower Station, which is under construction by POWERCHINA, as the back cover of its annual report to recognize the outstanding contribution that the power station has had in alleviating Nepal's national power shortages.

The hydropower station was also included as a model project for China-Nepal cooperation in the 2019 New Year's calendar of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal.

After several generations of efforts, POWERCHINA has become an important force in promoting the development of hydropower across the world. It also actively participates in the construction of the Belt and Road to welcome the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China through its remarkable achievements.
