POWERCHINA increases 'circle of friends' on Silk Road

Updated: 2019-04-18 14:53

In the first half of 2018, POWERCHINA carried out eight foreign aid training courses for key countries along the Belt and Road and trained 196 government officials.

POWERCHINA has actively participated in local public governance, carried out various rescue activities, and partnered with community and public welfare organizations to engage in repair work, volunteer teaching, free clinics, donation drives, and other community care services.

It has established mature and stabile public relations with local public institutions, communities, and society, earning its reputation for being a reliable and sincere partner.

The POWERCHINA-built Semba Hydropower Station in Mozambique will effectively alleviate power shortages and solve the electricity demand of local residents after completion.

The Kafue Gorge Lower Hydropower Stationin Zambia is the first large-scale hydropower project invested and developed by Zambian government in the past 40 years, which has greatly enhanced the performance of the southern African power grid.

During the construction of the Nam Ou River Cascade Hydropower Plant in Laos, POWERCHINA set up 23 villages to resettle more than 12,600 people, built more than 500 kilometers of roads, and constructed more than 20 large and medium-sized bridges for local residents.

Today, the BRI has brought new historical opportunities for POWERCHINA. A successful blueprint has been drawn and positive future opportunities can be expected.

Entering a new era with a goal of moving to a higher level, POWERCHINA will follow the national BRI and its "three-step" global development strategy, adopting the international model to start a new journey of building a world-class energy enterprise with global competitiveness at full speed.
