POWERCHINA increases 'circle of friends' on Silk Road

Updated: 2019-04-18 14:53

Since the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was proposed five years ago, POWERCHINA has integrated the concept of mutually beneficial cooperation into the Belt and Road construction, which has increased its circle of friends on the Silk Road.

It has always implemented localized management, insisting on "building a power station, driving the regional economy, make friends, provide benefits tothecommunity, and improve the local environment."

POWERCHINA has increased local employment and tax revenue by integrating into the country where the project is located. While achieving its own development, it has also realized mutual benefits and win-win results with the local government, enterprises, and residents.

In the construction of the projects involved in the BRI, POWERCHINA has always adhered to three principles.

The first is to take root in the local area, regard it as hometown, and integrate enterprise development with local economic and social development.

The second is to continually deepen cooperation and actively collaborate with local enterprises. POWERCHINA not only shares its successful experiences and advanced technologies with partners, but have also learned lessons from past failures to achieve mutually beneficial results for all involved parties.

The third is to adhere to friendly coexistence, respect local cultural practices and laws and regulations, and promote cross-cultural integration. Many foreign employees have achieved good development at POWERCHINA.

POWERCHINA employs 70,000 foreign employees each year and provides a large number of training and employment opportunities for local residents.

Since 2009, POWERCHINA has successfully held 67 foreign aid training coursesand trained 1,747 government officials from dozens of countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, including 21 officials at the deputy ministerial level and above.
