The smash-hit musical Ghost is due to be staged at the Poly Grand Theater in Kunshan, with four performances given from Dec 16 to 18.

Adapted from the phenomenal Oscar-winning movie that captured the hearts and imaginations of a generation back in the 1990s, Ghost is a timeless fantasy about the power of love.

The original story was about a young banker named Sam, who is killed, but his spirit lingers on earth to protect his fiancée, Molly, from his former colleague and friend Carl. Sam manages to communicate with Molly through a medium named Oda Mae Brown.

Even people who know the story well will enjoy seeing the famous scenes, such as Sam's soul leaving his body, his ghost walking through a concrete door and the fight in a speeding metro train.

Of course, the scene the movie is known for is where the two main characters make pottery with Unchained Melody playing in the background. This will also feature in the stage production.

Besides the romantic plot, the musical is expected to charm audiences with its special effects and impressive acting.

Ticket prices range from 180 yuan ($27) to 1080 yuan ($161.9).
